As part of the CMA’s efforts to develop the capital market and enhance the protection of investors, and based on the Capital Market Law issued by Royal Decree Number (M/30) Dated 2/6/1424 H, the CMA has prepared a draft Credit Rating Agencies Regulations, that regulates the conduct of rating activities in the Kingdom, and the monitoring thereof, and specifies the procedures and conditions for obtaining an authorisation, which reflect the international best practice and standards aiming at achieving the desired objectives.
The CMA Board has issued its resolution Number (1-38-2012) Dated 26/1/1434H 10/12/2012, which includes publishing the draft Credit Rating Agencies Regulations on the CMA’s website (indicated below) to enable concerned and interested parties to provide their comments and observations. The CMA would be pleased to receive such comments and observations either at the following email:
