Imposition of a penalty

The Capital Market Authority announces the issuance of a CMA Board resolution to impose a penalty of SR 50,000 (Fifty Thousand Saudi Riyals) on Saudi Arabia Fertilizers Comany (SAFCO) due to its violation of clause (8) of the specific instructions for announcing the financial results for listed companies. The company failed to disclose on 14-4-2012 in a full and detailed manner the reasons that lead to the decrease of the net profit for the first quarter that ended on 31-3-2012, which was mentioned by the company’s chairman to Al-Arabiya satellite channel on 15-4-2012.
