Proceeding from the Capital Market Authority's (CMA) program to achieve the Saudi Vision 2030, and in continuation of the CMA's role in regulating and developing the Exchange and maintaining its stability, the CMA published a number of Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ’s) related to the Capital Market Law, Companies Law and their implementing regulations FAQ's on the Authority's website. This also comes in line with the National Transformation Program (NTP).
The CMA indicates that the program to achieve the Saudi Vision 2030 attaches utmost importance to raising awareness for market participants including investors, issuers and financial services providers, given that awareness is the first line of defense for protection from unfair practices and misconduct. Such awareness helps in understanding roles and responsibilities of each of the regulatory bodies and the financial institutions. Additionally, awareness and education of investors and other market participants play a positive role in enhancing the level of corporate governance in the Exchange.
It is worth mentioning that the FAQ’s aim to answer the questions that might be raised by the relevant parties including investors, listed companies, authorized persons and dealers in the Exchange, related to the Capital Market Law, Companies Law and their implementing regulations.
The CMA took into consideration when setting and selecting those questions inquires it has received from the market participants, especially investors, issuers and financial services providers.
