CMA Joins AAOIFI Membership

​The Saudi Capital Market Authority (CMA) in a meeting between H.E., Mohammed AlJadaan, Chairman of CMA Board and Dr. Hamid Mera, General secretary of AAOIFI, announced the joining of the CMA to the Accounting and Auditing Organization for Islamic Financial Institutions (AAOIFI) as a member.

AAOIFI includes more than (164) institutional members. Including central banks, regulatory authorities, financial institutions, auditing and accounting companies and legal firms in more than (45) countries.

The AAOIFI membership gives the CMA the opportunity to share  experiences with other member institutions through participation at events, conferences, seminars, forums and gatherings held by AAOIFI.

Membership in AAOIFI is in line with CMA's efforts to achieve Saudi Arabia’s 2030 Vision, through continues development of the Saudi capital market while looking to enhance performance and elevate efficiency of control and audit, through standards of accounting, auditing, business ethics and corporate governance.

It is worth noting that the CMA continues to work on strengthening its regional and international relationships with organizations and institutions involved in regulation and surveillance of financial markets. Thus, taking advantage of the latest international experience and practices in relevant areas. CMA is also a member of the International Organization of Securities Commissions (IOSCO) and  the Union of Arab Securities Authorities (UASA).
