A CMA Board resolution was issued to suspend trading the shares of any listed company if it failed to announce its financial statements during the specified period in the Listing Rules once this period expires. CMA also notes that this does not exempt the companies that are not bound by this restriction from the responsibility of a compliance violation imposed on all listed companies in the market to announce their financial statements during the specified period.
The Capital Market Authority will take the measures it sees fit to protect the investors and the market according to the Capital Market Rules and its Implementing Regulations.
